Cattleya orchids typically feature heavily fragrant flowers that come in a wide variety of shapes and colour combinations. Many of the species produce quite large blooms that stretch several inches across while others have smaller but no less beautiful blooms. The blooming frequency of the plant depends on its flower size. The larger the flower, the less frequently it will bloom. Their flowers last for usually from 15-20 days.

Cattleya eldorado is a well-known and highly regarded orchid hybrid. It’s a cross between Cattleya aurantiaca and Cattleya leopoldii, both of which are species of Cattleya orchids. Cattleya eldorado is cherished for its stunning and fragrant flowers.

These orchids typically produce vibrant and colorful blooms, often in shades of orange, red, and yellow, with some variations. They are prized not only for their beauty but also for their delightful fragrance, which can be quite strong and sweet.

Proper care for Cattleya eldorado includes providing bright but indirect light, maintaining appropriate humidity levels, and allowing the orchid to dry out slightly between waterings. With the right care, Cattleya eldorado can thrive and reward growers with its magnificent flowers.

Extremely rare species from South America.

Cattleya orchids usually only flower once a year with the time frame varying by species, though some hybrids, especially those crossed with Laelia orchids, have been cultivated to bloom more than once. Cattleya orchids are not difficult to care for, and even beginners can find success with getting them to flower. They make lovely houseplants, but they can also live outside year-round in tropical climates and during the warmer months in areas that experience frost.

Please refer plant pictures for size reference.

Note: The plants may or may not contain flowers or buds. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up due to transit stress even though we pack them with extreme care. The local climatic conditions and fertilization habits can affect the brightness & colour intensity of flowers. While we make every effort to match the actual colours of the flowers, the photographs may not be the exact representation, due to different monitor settings
