Brassavola is a genus of orchids that includes around 30 species, native to the Americas, from Florida to Brazil. These orchids are highly prized for their fragrant, showy flowers and their ease of cultivation. The most popular species is Brassavola nodosa, also known as the “Lady of the Night” orchid, which produces highly fragrant, white flowers that bloom at night.

Brassavola orchids are epiphytes, which means they grow attached to trees or other plants, using their roots to absorb moisture and nutrients from the air and rain. These orchids prefer bright, indirect light and warm temperatures, with a minimum of 60% humidity. They are often grown in hanging baskets or mounted on a piece of bark or wood.

They are also relatively easy to care for, making them a popular choice for both novice and experienced orchid growers.
